  Birds Birds are animals that have feathers and beaks. They lay hard eggs, which their chicks hatch out of. Most birds can fly, and they are found all over the world. Swimming birds- Not all birds can fly.   Penguins swim underwater instead.   Their feathers are waterproof, and they use their wings to steer. Scarlet Ibis- Birds of prey - Birds of prey hunt for their food. They have sharp beaks, fly fast, and grab food, such as fish, with their feet. Bald eagle Songbirds- Most birds in the world are part of a huge family called songbirds. Each type of songbird has its own special song. Yellow warbler   Eggs Some young animals grow and develop inside round objects called eggs.
